About Kari

Kari, Canadian born and Texas raised, is a boy mom, business woman, fashion expert, wife, aunt, sister, daughter…you name it.

In 2016, Kari started Jojo Mommy as a place for her to celebrate her children and her keen eye for kid’s fashion. Jojo Mommy highlights Kari’s love for her children, beautiful clothes and anything mom-related. She believes that every day as a mom is worth celebrating, so why not dress up your kids and capture every moment. They’re only little once!

With three siblings and parents who have upheld an exemplary marriage of over 40 years, family is of the utmost importance to Kari. Kari comes from a long line of ambitious business women, who have inspired her to chase her dreams, and taught her to always appreciate life’s most precious moments.

The values instilled in her from a young age have guided her through life and led her to meet her wonderful husband, Troy. Kari and Troy’s rambunctious and eager boys (“big” and “baby” brother on the blog) keep them busy at all times.

Over the years, Kari has found success as a Realtor, and enjoys volunteering at her son’s school. She contributes her free time to various philanthropic efforts, including MTV Redefine and Salvation Army, and is a member of the Cattle Baron’s Ball advisory board. Kari graduated from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University with a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing, and also received her Masters in Business Administration from SMU.
